Matrioska is a creative independent film production company based in Rome. It was founded by Costanza Coldagelli after twenty years of experience as a freelance producer of films, documentaries and TV commercials.
We develop projects for a wide range of different genres, particularly those that we feel have a striking or individual vision and that explore unexpected and interesting aspects of the universal human experience of life. We attempt to establish contacts between different worlds and ideas, so that they can draw inspiration from each other, as if each one were nested inside the next, like the “Matryoshka” Russian dolls from which the company takes its name. We therefore tend to concentrate above all on female and emerging writers and directors, as well as on innovative projects.
